Other ways to support ExtraCare

1. EasyFundraising

You can help us by making ExtraCare Charitable Trust your charity of choice!

Visit at easyfundraising.org.uk and hit the shops through the “search for any retailer or product” box (and there are 2,700 to choose from), make your purchase and checkout as normal. It really couldn’t be easier!

Your chosen retailer will reward you for shopping through Easy Fundraising by making a donation to ExtraCare at no extra cost to you.

The amount ExtraCare receives is dependent on which outlet you make your purchases from, but retailers giving something back… now that’s what we call a bargain!

2. GiveACar

Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that turns unwanted cars into cash for UK charities. It’s a simple process in which you complete an online form, they collect your vehicle and sell it, donating the profits to charity.

You can also donate the car of someone who has recently died – making it a simple way to deal with a loved one’s belongings. You can find more information on this on their website.

3. Ask your company

Many companies offer matched giving schemes – where they will match your fundraising and allowing your efforts to go twice as far! Check with your HR/People department to get more information on this.

Some companies require a letter from us to confirm you’re supporting our work. This is something we are happy to provide. Simply get in touch at fundraising@extracare.org.uk.

4. Social media fundraising

Fundraising online has never been easier, with many social media platforms offering fundraising functionality. This lets you ask your followers to donate to ExtraCare via the platform, alongside a message from you about why you’re passionate about creating better lives for older people. The money is collated by the platform and transferred directly to us, so you don’t have to deal with the admin.

Many people do this for their birthday – asking people for support instead of a gift to you.
