Why ExtraCare

We’re a charity that really does create better lives for older people, not just by building fantastic locations with first class facilities, but by gathering a dedicated and talented workforce. Our staff make the biggest difference by working together, living our values, and providing a quality person-centred service to be proud of.

The charity is proud of our Investors in People – Gold Award and we are committed to supporting our employees’ learning and development. We offer a wide range of on-going comprehensive programmes of statutory and mandatory training.

We want our staff to be empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work and feel part of a safe and supportive community.

“I volunteer mainly on reception but during lockdown I set up a recycling collection team and a team to deliver orders from supermarkets to people like myself, who were in isolation. This was carried out on my computer, in my apartment, adhering to government and ExtraCare guidelines.”
