ExtraCare retirement schemes
Living at an ExtraCare retirement scheme provides you with more than your own front door. It opens up a wealth of exciting opportunities from making new friends to trying new things. Our schemes are ‘communities within communities’ where everyone is encouraged to do as much or as little as they want to.
ExtraCare residents both within the schemes and surrounding area can enjoy an absorbing social life.
With a focus on maintaining active and healthy lifestyles, residents can choose from a variety of social and leisure activities to keep the mind and body stimulated regardless of age or frailty. From taking things easy to having that all important ‘me-time’, there’s something for everyone!
ExtraCare take pride in our caring and supportive team who are on hand to assist at every stage of the journey to keep things stress free. From practical queries about your move to more complex subjects, such as individual care requirements we are there to guide and help.
Whether you move into one of our schemes requiring care from day one, or the need arises much later, you can rest assured that our professional team will ensure that you get whatever help you need in a professional and dignified manner.
ExtraCare schemes offer you a real home of your own with your own front door opening onto a wide, well-lit corridor. One- and two-bedroom apartments and bungalows are available depending on your chosen ExtraCare scheme. Staff are always on site and the scheme entrance is secure. Residents also have a user-friendly intercom for door entry and there are security cameras on site.
All of our schemes, whether large or small, have a variety of facilities on site for residents to take advantage of. A communal lounge for residents and members of the local community is a hub for welcoming visitors, family and friends. There’s an on-site restaurant or bar if you don’t feel like catering, and a hairdressers if you are in the need for some pampering.
With facilities and activities on hand, feeling independent and enriched lies at the heart of each resident’s ExtraCare experience.
