Baroness Julia Neuberger says: "You get the impression that this is a place where older people have fun. It is a place with magical quality."

David Orr, Chief Executive of The National Housing Federation says: "I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to St Crispin's. A real village with some fantastic people."

Barbara Burgess (resident): Encouraged by the well-being advisor, Barbara Burgess joined St Crispin Village's Activity Week at an outdoor centre in Devon. She tried abseiling, horse riding, canoeing and a ride down a zip wire.

Barbara says: "I could have used my wheelchair for the activities but decided not to. It was marvellous and such fun. I did things you'd never dream of - I felt like Tarzan!"
