It’s busy and bustling at Bournville Gardens, and the Village hasn’t even opened yet!
We began holding a series of Coffee Mornings in the New Year alongside our Friends meetings for potential and future Residents, covering a range of topics from the Choir to Care & Wellbeing, and, not content with that, we now have a whole programme of activity open to all! From stress-busting wellness sessions giving you the tools to deal with anxiety you might be feeling about moving home to a wildlife walk, we have something for everyone!
You can download the Activity Programme for May and June here, and if you have any questions or would like to come along to any of our activities, contact Cathryn on 0121 227 8019 or via firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also keep up to date with everything via our Tumblr page and by following us on Twitter.
We hope to see you at Bournville Gardens soon!
A close partnership between The ExtraCare Charitable Trust, Bournville Village Trust and Birmingham City Council, Bournville Gardens is already under construction off Bristol Road South on the site of the former Bournville College. Applications to purchase properties opened in Summer 2014 and the Village opens its doors to first residents in Autumn 2015.
ExtraCare's unrivalled mix of social facilities will be at the heart of the Village, including:

Library and IT suite
Café bar and lounge
Well-being suite and well-being bathroom
Hairdressing and beauty salon

The staff at Bournville Gardens would like to wish everyone a happy new year; 2015 will be an exciting year for us, and we can’t wait to welcome our first residents in late autumn. As we begin our year with renewed energy and enthusiasm, we’d like to remind our Friends that the regular monthly meetings held at Rowheath Pavillion will now be on Wednesday mornings (11.30am):
Whether you are already certain that you’d like to live at Bournville Gardens, or are still considering your options, these meetings are an ideal time to learn more about Village life, the facilities on site, the progress of the build and lots more as well as an opportunity to meet other prospective residents and make new friends. For a nominal cost of £2 per person (to cover room hire and refreshments) you can join a sociable group of like-minded people, helping to shape the future of this exciting new Village community.
We look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon!
