Set on five acres fronting Lickey Road on the edge of Longbridge Town Centre, the Village provides 260 one and two bed apartments, carefully designed to encourage and support an independent and enriching lifestyle. The Village opened in July 2017.
The Village offers a range of communal facilities including a village hall, bar and bistro, gym, IT suite, hair and beauty salon and shop that can be accessed by residents, their families and Longbridge residents.
Up to 50 activities are on offer per week including choir singing, IT, wheelchair aerobics and gardening.
The £48 million retirement village is part of St. Modwen’s £1 billion Longbridge regeneration scheme. Nearly 400 homes have been built, and the town centre features retailers including Sainsbury’s, Costa Coffee, Premier Inn, Beefeater and a landmark Marks & Spencer store.

Our priority is to support residents 55 and over who are living in Birmingham City. We will also consider applications from outside the city if you have a strong local connection; for example you were originally born in Birmingham or you need support from a family member who lives in the city.
There is no upper age limit. We also welcome applications from people needing a significant level of care.

260 homes are available as follows:
208 are for sale - a mix of shared and outright ownership. (Shared ownership is where you purchase a portion of your home – for example, 75% – and then pay a rental fee for the un-purchased portion).
52 homes are available for rent.
Purchase and shared ownership homes are offered on a 120 year leasehold basis.
Yes, we can arrange a tour of one of our existing Villages. We’re sure you appreciate that our existing Villages are the homes of our residents and we ask you not to visit another Village unless you are on an arranged tour.
Our villages usually develop waiting lists fairly quickly – if you think you would like to move to Longbridge Village, please talk to the Sales Team sooner rather than later. Some of our older villages have a waiting list that is potentially ten years long.

It’s extremely unlikely; we consider an applicant’s financial circumstances when making property offers. You will be encouraged to make an application for a sales property if you have £80,000 or more in assets (house, savings, etc). We don’t currently offer apartments for private rent.
