Martin Dancy
Martin is an extraordinary resident volunteer whose dedication and generosity enrich the lives of everyone at our village. Whether he’s collecting and organising recycling twice a week for residents who need support, volunteering at reception, helping set up for events, or contributing his insights to both the finance and scrutiny groups at St Oswald’s, Martin does it all with unwavering enthusiasm. Nothing is ever too much for him, and his tireless efforts make a profound difference to both residents and staff. We honestly don’t know how he finds the time to do so much, but we are eternally grateful for everything he does.
Martin commented: “It came as a total surprise as I have always felt that what help I give others is nothing more than the ‘right thing to do’, especially when it concerns those aged/disabled and less fortunate than myself. It has given me great pleasure to do so for the last 11 years and 9 months as a resident here so in my small world I thank you all again, this award really means a lot.”
