Meet the Team: Laura Davies

Want to know a little more about our ExtraCare team? We sat down with ExtraCare’s Head of Care and Wellbeing Laura Davies to find out a little more about her role, passions and life with the Charity.

How long have you been working at the Charity?

For just over 2 years.

What drew you to ExtraCare and your current position?

A time for change in my career progression.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The opportunity to promote excellence in our care and wellbeing services and supporting our residents to live their best lives!!

What are some of the biggest accomplishments you’ve achieved in your role?

The launch of our internal audit approach in line with the CQC Single Assurance Framework (not in isolation my team need some credit for this too) this has been praised by other providers and the NCF for the detail included and our overall scope in achieving ‘outstanding’ delivery of care in our locations.

How do our charity values align with your own personal values?

I am extremely passionate about empowerment in particular in every relationship I have in my life, this value resonates with me the most, however I would like to think I am compassionate towards others, their views and opinions, and believe in collaborating to achieve our goals, communicating with everyone how I would like to be treated and being open and honest (transparent)
