Hednesford Shoppers Invited to Treasure Hunt and Make a Difference at New ExtraCare Charity Shop
A brand-new charity shop has opened its doors in Hednesford, giving local shoppers the chance to discover hidden gems and support charity ExtraCare.
The new ExtraCare charity shop is open seven days a week and is based at Victoria Retail Park, on the former Lloyds Pharmacy site near Tesco.
Visitors can enjoy a treasure hunt through a wide range of pre-loved and new items, from adult and children’s clothing to a selection of brand-new men’s clothing.
The shop also features a cosy area called The Nook, where customers can browse books, puzzles and CDs. The shop’s summer collection offers suitcases, children’s games and toys.
Every purchase helps support ExtraCare, the charity behind the shop. ExtraCare supports older people to live better lives, offering dementia care, wellbeing services and end of life care at its 18 retirement locations.
Shoppers can support the charity by donating items and offering them a new lease of life, or by picking up an affordable find.
Local resident Kerry who visited the shop commented: “Very nice, bright and airy, it doesn’t feel like a charity shop! I shall be back!”

We are really looking forward to welcoming the local community to donate, shop and volunteer with us. We have several volunteer opportunities, come and make new friends, learn new skills and be part of the team!”
The Hednesford team is looking for volunteers to get involved. Whether you can spare a few hours, want to meet new people or are looking for a way to give back, volunteering at the shop is a great way to support a good cause close to home.
