ExtraCare joins Women in Retirement Living (WiRL) as its newest member
ExtraCare is delighted to join Women in Retirement Living (WiRL), as its latest Premium Corporate member. WiRL is an organisation dedicated to inclusiveness in the retirement living sector, seeking to grow the sector through diversity and encouraging talent. WiRL’s mission and values closely reflect ExtraCare’s own commitment to inclusion, collaboration, respect, authenticity, and real-world impact.
Why WiRL matters and why we’re joining
WiRL champion inclusion, generosity, respect, and authenticity – which are values that deeply resonate with ExtraCare’s own:
- Like WiRL, we are committed to empowering people of all backgrounds and experiences to thrive. We believe, as they do, that diversity strengthens not just teams, but outcomes;
- Our collaborative approach, working alongside peers in the IRL sector, mirrors WiRL’s emphasis on cooperation and shared learning;
- WiRL’s call for authenticity and openness aligns seamlessly with our value of transparency as we both believe in having honest conversations about real change; and
- Above all, both WiRL and ExtraCare are driven by compassion whether that is through creating supportive work environments or building integrated retirement communities that truly serve the needs of older people.
WiRL’s vision is to elevate inclusiveness in the retirement living sector so that it becomes “a beacon for talent”, driving growth fuelled by diversity. Their mission to empower women and underrepresented groups via networking, knowledge sharing, and mentoring is squarely aligned with ExtraCare’s own ambitions and our upcoming EDI strategy (Belonging). As members, ExtraCare will gain direct access to a network of professionals through events, webinars, and mentoring.
