• How it works –If you choose to donate £10 to ExtraCare, this may equate to £12.50 of your gross salary – the £2.50 has already been paid to HMRC. If you qualify for GiftAid then HMRC will give us that £2.50, increasing the size of your donation and the impact you can have on creating better lives for older people.
• Who is Eligible –If you are a UK taxpayer you should be eligible for GiftAid. The main restriction is that the total value of the GiftAid claimed must not exceed the value of tax you’ve paid in any one year.
• Eligible Payments –Not all payments to charities are eligible – only donations made by individuals. This means that donors must not receive anything in return for their gift, including entrance to an event, raffle or prize draw. This is a slightly different process to our Retail Gift Aid scheme; you need to complete this form to take part in the GiftAid scheme for donations regardless of being part of the retail Gift Aid scheme.
  
• What do I have to do? –All you have to do is complete the below form to let us know you’re eligible for GiftAid. If you stop paying tax in the UK, you need to tell us that too.
