Kathy Neeson

Meet Kathy!

Kathy Neeson is ExtraCare’s Recruitment Manager. She has worked for ExtraCare since January 1994, initially as a HR Administrator and as is now the Recruitment Manager. Her job involves leading on recruitment across the charity, new village recruitment, supporting new villages during commissioning with human resources advice, project work and general HR support.


How long have you worked at ExtraCare?

I have worked for ExtraCare for 30 years and started as a Personnel Team Leader.

What does your role involve you doing on a day to day basis?

This job involves leading on recruitment across the charity, new village recruitment, ensuring a fair and consistent recruitment process, supporting new villages during commissioning with human resources advice, project work and general HR support.

What development have you had?

I have had lots of training opportunities which include employment legislation updates, equality and diversity training, funding for my CIPD Level 3 and Level 7 Diploma in Human Resources Management, NVQ3 business administration, CLAIT courses and lots of other useful ‘in house’ training.

What is the most memorable moment of your career to date?

Passing my CIPD Level 7 in Human Resources Management, my good working relationships, and my 30 Year Service Award.
