Support us by signing up for Gift Aid
This Thursday, we are supporting Gift Aid Awareness Day and calling on all our supporters to gift aid their valuable donations to us.
As a registered charity that exists to create better lives for older people, we rely on your kind generosity to help fund our vital support services for all our residents, regardless of their health or wealth.
But what is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is an important tax relief for UK charities to increase donations. Put simply, it enables ExtraCare to claim an extra 25% on paid donations, so if you donate £1 we will received £1.25. Over the year, it’s worth just over a quarter of a million pounds to us – that’s a lot!
We’re asking that you kindly gift aid your donations so that we can help change the lives of more older people. It’s easy to do, simply complete our online Gift Aid declaration form. Completed forms should be sent to giftaid@extracare.org.uk
We are also calling on the government this year, alongside the Charity Finance Group (CFG), to temporarily increase the level of Gift Aid charities can claim. If successful, this change would mean that a £100 donation would be worth £133.33, rather than £125.
