The ExtraCare Charitable Trust relies on the generosity and goodwill of a huge number of people that support us in a myriad of different ways. From giving up their time, their knowledge and their hard earned cash to benefit older people and share our belief that old age is not something to be feared; but quite the opposite in fact.
Fundraising is about building relationships and forging good partnerships and contrary to popular belief, it is not always just about money and raising funds, although of course, that is a major part of our remit. Partnership is one of those words that means so much more than the word itself portrays; it’s about shared values, a similar skill set, working together, joining forces, working as one team, together, for the benefit of others and in our case, the older communities who choose to make ExtraCare their home.
Many of us are very busy, but if we can give our time, immerse ourselves in our communities and generate income at the same time for the benefit of the older communities for whom we work, well that is absolutely priceless.
Creating your own fundraiser and asking for sponsorship is a fun way to support the great work we do as a charity!
From cake sales to quizzes, sky dives to spring cleans and marathons to monumental challenges; anything is possible and absolutely any hobby, sport or daily activity can be turned into a sponsorship event.
