ExtraCare's St Crispin Retirement Village marked its ninth birthday recently with a lunchtime hog roast celebration.
A birthday cake had already been cut as residents set about the roast which was prepared by Sargents of Northampton.
After the lunch the recently refurbished Village woodwork and hobby room was opened by ExtraCare's Facilities Manager Steve Jeremiah supported by members of the woodwork team.
Interest groups staged a series of activities including card making, floral skills, floor skittles, Zumba dancing and a singalong, and in the evening the Abba Salute Tribute Band provided entertainment.
According to Village Activity Facilitator Simon Greener, who organised the day, it was obvious that everyone enjoyed the birthday events.
