Staff at ExtraCare’s Seagrave Court in Strelley, Nottingham, have been raising money to pay for entertainment at the Scheme.
Activities Co-ordinator PJ Spilsbury and Resident Support Worker Tracy Birchnal fund monthly shows for the residents by doing a table top sale.
PJ and Tracy set up their table, packed with items for sale, in a bid to raise £500 – in actual fact, between April and August, they raised £1,500!
PJ explains that most of the items came from bargains at car boot sales and donations from residents, families and friends.
Because of the success of the venture, another table sale will start soon and, once again, the target will be £500. "I hope we can equal the last one!" says PJ.
