We’d like to thank our volunteers for their positive responses during this challenging time; the outpouring of support both from and for our communities has been incredibly heart-warming. Our locations were closed to external volunteers from March, and our charity shops were also shut during the early lockdown period. Our charity shops have now reopened, and as of 1st August we will be welcoming some external volunteers back into our retirement communities.
If you would like to help us create better lives for older people, we are currently looking for volunteers in our charity shops, as well as for some roles in our retirement communities. For more information about the volunteer roles available near you, please contact your local ExtraCare retirement community or charity shop, or email us at volunteering@extracare.org.uk.
For more information about the steps we are taking to ensure that our volunteers, residents, staff and other visitors remain safe during this time, please visit our Covid-19 page.
We need more people just like you to help us make a difference to the lives of older people.
Volunteering is at the heart of what we do; we rely on the support of thousands of valued volunteers, from our Board of Trustees to those who give their time and skills in our villages, schemes and charity shops. Our volunteers play a key part in helping us to create better lives for older people.
