Leave a Lasting Legacy

Leaving a Legacy is a big decision and we understand that family comes first. But if you do have a little surplus to spare after providing for your loved ones, a legacy left to ExtraCare could really make a difference to the residents of our housing schemes and villages.

Any gift in your Will, no matter how small, means that together we can create better lives for older people.

There are 3 types of gifts you can leave in your Will*:

Residual legacy

This is a share - or possibly even all - of the balance of your estate once all the payments have been made (e.g. lifetime debts, tax, administrative expenses and any pecuniary & specific legacies). It will not lose its value over time, and if you leave a proportion to ExtraCare you will still ensure other beneficiaries are taken care of.

Pecuniary legacy

You may prefer to leave a fixed amount of money to ExtraCare in your Will.

Specific legacy

This is a gift of a specific item - such as personal possessions, land, buildings or shares.

You can choose which one of our charitable causes you will make a lasting difference to:
