As part of a friendly team, they help prepare goods and donations for sale and are always on-hand to support customers.

The first Sara has worked at the shop for seven years now. She says: "I like working with ExtraCare, I have made so many new friends and love helping others."

The other Sara suffered injuries as a child and has had to learn many life skills again. Volunteering has been a help: "I love working in the shop, it makes me feel special and I'm treated as part of the team."

Both volunteers fulfil a vital role by supporting the life-changing activities and award-winning well-being services that we provide for older people who live in our schemes and villages.

Manager Denise explains: "Our volunteers play a big role in our success and I hope that they achieve a lot of satisfaction from working for ExtraCare. We really value their support."
