He has been a fan of dancing all his life, and says that he does
not intend to give it up just yet, so the retirement scheme in
Redditch organised a tea dance for him and the other residents to
enjoy on his birthday.
"He took to the floor for all the dances and thoroughly enjoyed
himself," said Acting Manager Zoe Hopkins. "He loves dancing and he
really enjoyed the last tea dance we had. He's very active."
Les used to dance with his wife, Vera, who passed away 29 years
ago. He explained that they were taught by some American friends
before the war.
Since moving into Terryspring Court in July, Les is an
enthusiastic participant in most of the activities on offer. He
recently took part in a fishing competition which the scheme won
and said that he thoroughly enjoyed it.
