He was at Gartmore Riding School in his new role as President of
the British Horse Society to open a new centre where disabled rides
can get a more hands-on experience with the horses.
He took some time to talk to residents from ExtraCare's Bilston
housing scheme, and told them how dedicated they were. He was
particularly impressed when he heard about their 8am start to get
to the stables that day!
Bushfield's riding group have had a very busy year practising
and studying: they rehearsed from March for a Wild West show in
August, and have just taken Stage 1 in Equitation and Stable
Management, following the syllabus from the Association of the
British Riding Schools.
