The Sheffield retirement village saw office staff dressing up as
a Spice Girls tribute act called the Saucy Office Girls, as well as
a troupe of Filipino dancers including housekeeper Jo.
Not wanting to be left out, residents performed a percussion
piece called Recycled Rhythm.
The ExtraCare village holds a talent contest every six months,
and staff and residents are already planning what they will do next
time round, with the housekeeping staff hoping to sing Queen's I
Want to Break Free, complete with vacuum cleaners and feather
dusters.
Village Activities Facilitator Suzie Simons, who was one of the
Saucy Office Girls, said the evening was unforgettable. "We had a
great time doing it, and the residents loved it, so we're already
planning our next performance.
"God help us, we must be mad!" she added.
