Residents, staff and volunteers at the Sheffield retirement village raised over £1,250 on the day, all of which will go towards the Village funds.

Village Activity Facilitator Suzie Simons said the event was massively popular. "The Village was packed to the rafters," she said. "The demand for stalls was so huge we had to turn people down."

The Fayre was popular with residents and visitors alike, with children especially enjoying the teddy tombola.

There were even some special guests at the event, and Suzie's five-month-old grandson George (pictured) got to have his first meeting with Father Christmas!
