St Helen's Environmental Health Honour for Reeve Court

14th February, 2012

Staff at Reeve Court Retirement Village were very proud to be asked by the St Helens Environmental Health Department to host the launch of their new Rating Scheme.

Environmental Health Officer Helen Williams said: "We chose Reeve Court to hold the event because they are known to have 'very good' (the top score) at food hygiene within their areas."

Staff at the St Helens retirement village said they were very proud to have been chosen.

The St Helens retirement village has a rating of 5 or "very good" for food hygiene, the highest possible score. The town has now moved away from the old star rating system and now uses numbers.

Village Activity Facilitator Josh Boardman said that this event was a particular honour because there are around 1,400 food businesses in St Helens, with over 250 having the top rating.

19 other successful companies were invited to attend the event at Reeve Court.

Josh said: "We would like to congratulate Sonia and her staff at Reeve for their efforts, the event was a success and was well-attended. Another positive for Reeve Court!"
