The "Strictly Come Laughing" event at the retirement village
starred comedian David Huband, whose humour and comedic tales and
characters had New Oscott residents in fits of giggles.
Doors were due to open at 7pm, but residents were so eager for a
good seat that they started queuing 45 minutes early!
Once everyone was sitting comfortably, they were treated to a
meal of chicken or scampi and chips, which everyone agreed was
fabulous. After the tables were cleared, they enjoyed the two hour
comedy show.
Village Activities Facilitator Paul Knight said everyone who
attended the event at the Birmingham retirement village had a
really good night.
"I took a bit of a gamble with this kind of cabaret, but I am
very pleased with the turn out and feedback from residents," he
said. "Everyone has said what a fantastic evening they have had and
how much they enjoyed the evening along with the food."
