Shenley Wood Recruitment Day

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is holding a recruitment open day on Wednesday 7th September to help find staff for its new retirement village in Shenley Wood.

Recruitment staff will give presentations on the roles throughout the morning and afternoon, or prospective applicants can drop in to collect an application form between 2 and 4pm.

The event will be at Shenley Wood Village, Chalkdell Drive, Milton Keynes, MK5 6GJ, and the first presentation starts at 9.15am, lasting around half an hour. Further presentations will be held at 10.30am, 11.45am, 4.30pm and 5.45pm.

Jobs on offer include personal support assistants, working either days or nights to provide personal care and housekeeping services, care supervisors and co-ordinators, and fitness assistants to work in the facility's gym. Salaries range from £7.05 - £8.05 per hour for personal support assistants, depending on NVQ level, up to £10.11 per hour for care supervisors.

Shenley Wood Village is the second property that The ExtraCare Charitable Trust has built in Milton Keynes, after Lovat Fields Village in Willen. The first phase will be open to residents in early 2012, with the second phase due for completion in late 2013.

The village will comprise of 300 independent living apartments arranged around an inspirational and informal village centre with facilities providing leisure and social opportunities for local older people.
