Join us at the United Generations event

31st August, 2011

Visit us at the ExtraCare stand at the United Generations event at the MK Dons Stadium on Friday 30th September.

Friday 30th September
10am - 3pm
Stadium MK, Stadium Way West, Milton Keynes, MK1 1ST

A group of people from ExtraCare's retirement villages in Milton Keynes will be attending, accompanied by staff including Helen Waite, who has organised the Shenley Wood Friends group.

Future residents of Shenley Wood Village, due to open in early 2012, will be taking part in the day, which is open to anyone over the age of 55 in the area.

The event will promote positive approaches to life for older people, including staying safe, volunteering, healthy eating, and socialising, along with a talk from veteran newsreader Angela Rippon, who will explain how she has stayed so well and active.

In addition to The ExtraCare Charitable Trust, Milton Keynes Council Trading Standards, the Council's Adult Social Care Team, MK Dons Sport and Education Trust, and local volunteer groups will also be giving out information. There will also be exercise demonstrations, music and dance and the chance for the public to join in with activities.

Chair of the MK Dons football club Pete Winkelman will open the event at 10.30am.
