Varied and Exciting Opportunities

At ExtraCare, we rely on the support of thousands of valued volunteers who make a huge difference to our residents' quality of life, helping them enjoy independent and active lifestyles within inspirational communities.

For example, you could:

  • Volunteer in a village coffee shop
  • Help out on reception
  • Help out in our Charity Shops
  • Teach dancing or singing, or run a drama class
  • Use your skills and teach residents in the IT suite
  • Provide your expertise in the woodworking or art and craft rooms
  • Provide support for our residents, friends and neighbours as they attend our ExtraCare social and activity events
  • Befriend residents seeking company
  • Read to residents who need support

As an ExtraCare volunteer you will be:

  • Fully trained and inducted (we will also require you to have a CRB check, but we'll organise this)
  • Fully covered by our insurance
  • Covered or re-imbursed for your expenses
  • Well supported and highly valued
