In a Nutshell
Julie Willington (Manager): "Our residents are really engaged with their activities and have their own ongoing programme which we support in whatever way we can."

Doreen Cross (Resident): Doreen lived in sheltered accommodation before moving to Terryspring Court in 2005. More than 70 years ago she used to tap dance with a Redditch entertainment group and although she needs to walk with a stick, she is hoping to start tap dancing lessons at Terryspring. Doreen came second as a solo singer in an ExtraCare's Got Talent competition and was one of a team of singers and dancers from Terrysping who performed at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, in 2007. The choir is now practicing for another talent competition. An ambassador who shows people round the home, Doreen also helps in the shop and, as she says, does a bit of everything that's needed. "Keeping busy is better than sitting in your armchair watching the world go by," she says.
